For the 2nd week class all the groups should check this information below before the workshop:

Official site of the experiment Marshmallow Challenge:

http://marshmallowchallenge.com/Welcome.html

Short Specification of the Challenge

http://toyhouse.cc/profiles/blogs/6429998:BlogPost:24600

All the students should start learning to use and prepare different relevant technologies that professor mentioned in 1st class. You will need them every day. Start to manage your time and set up your learning mode as soon as possible.

Specially for the challenge you should be recording your experiment (try to find a proper camera for this), bring the material needed and think also about all the learning mechanisms and ways to register and analyze the experiment. Every class should be treated as an important event for extracting and compiling all the knoledge experimented.

PLEASE COMMENT TO ALL YOUR CLASSMATES THAT ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE REGISTERED IN TOYHOUSE.CC AND POST THEIR FIRST BLOG ENTRIES BEFORE NEXT CLASS (The blog entries should be related with one or some videos from http://www.ted.com ).

And don't forget that each class group should send an email with all the members names, student ID & email address to oriol.china@gmail.com

Class #3:

Group 1, International team, would be the first to choose a topic related to GMS and make a presentation about it.

Class #4:

Group 2, The Marsmallows, choose a topic related to GMS and make a presentation about it.

I think we are 23 people in the class including the teacher and the TA's. So i think we need the following:

1) 6 Big pizzas

2) 1 Big Cake (Chocolate or like fruit cake I suggest)

3) A big bottle of coke, sprite, Oranje juice, Ice tea.

4) Plastic plates (46)

5) Plastic cups (23)

6) Plastic forks or spoons for the cake

7) Napkins

8) A big knife to cut the cake

9) 4 bags of different kinds of chips

10) CANDYY!!! =)

11) Plastic bags to clean up afterwards :)

To those who don't have good VPNs (...or who don't know baidu ^^)
Plenty of TED talks available in China: http://v.163.com/special/tedspeeches/
And TED in China: http://www.tedtochina.com/
Enjoy =)

There's some talks on youku and 163.com also

Comment by Antonin on May 8, 2012 at 10:43pm

I had the same problem. If it's a regular TED talk (not TEDx, TEDxTeen...), just below you have a download button. Thus, you can download it when the VPN is working and watch all at once later.
